1. Some funny things I remember about the was:
Don't remember anything really funny about it.
2. My memories of the way we lived in Europe:
My sleeping was in a tank or dig a hole and jump in also outbuildings or some houses. My eating was mostly out of tin cans or cartons. My traveling was walking, riding in tanks, or jeeps.
3. My most vivid memories from World War II:
I wanted to get back to the U.S.A.
4. My memories about the conditions of the countries I was in during the war:

5. In spite of the hardships of war I am proud to have served my country in World War II because:
I didn't really like the service. I don't like to take orders all the time from anybody.
6. My message to my lifelong Buddies in the 818th:
Hello to all of you. I'm pretty sure the ones I was with mostly is all dead. Most were all older than me. I'm 77 years old. I've got one foot in the grave already. I don't do any traveling. I like it right here in Caroline Co. Hope you all have a nice get together.
