818th Tank Destroyer Battalion Obituaries

Dear Veterans, Family, and Friends of the 818th Tank Destroyer Battalion- It is my sad responsibility to report the passing of another 818th Veteran. Yesterday I received a card from Veronica Himan. Tony Himan of A Company passed away 16 February 2008. Those of you who were at the 2007 Reunion in Nebraska will remember Tony and his lovely wife, Veronica. Tony had been among those 818th Veterans listed in the Roster as Last Known Address. Due to the diligent efforts of the Schildt family he had been located and attended his first 818th Reunion in Nebraska. He and Veronica were very nice folks and everyone enjoyed meeting them for the first time. We were all looking forward to seeing them again this summer. Tony will be much missed by all of his 818th friends.
